Ethics
Ethical leadership relies on clear standards, consistent application, and respect for defined roles.
Governance
Ethics in governance are not about personalities or politics. They are about having clear rules, respecting boundaries, and applying standards consistently. Strong ethical frameworks protect the Nation, the Chief & Council, and the individuals entrusted with decision-making responsibility.
Conflict of Interest
I support clear, written conflict-of-interest policy implementation that apply equally to all members of Chief & Council. When a real or perceived conflict arises, disclosure and recusal are essential to maintaining trust and protecting the integrity of decisions.

Ethics work best when they are applied consistently and without exception, not selectively or as a political tool.
Ethics
Chief and Council’s role is to provide direction through policy and resolution, while day-to-day operations and staff supervision belong with the administration.

Clear maintenenace of these roles ensures Chief and Council remain focused on governance rather than administration.
Protocol
Some matters before Chief and Council must be handled in confidence, including personnel issues, negotiations, and longstanding files such as land claims. Respecting confidentiality is not about secrecy, it is about fairness, due process, and protecting the Nation’s interests.
Objectivity
Ethical governance should be guided by policy, not personalities. Clear rules and predictable processes help ensure decisions are fair, defensible, and consistent over time, regardless of who is affected.
